Image Cropper - Crop, Rotate, Exact Sizes
Free online image cropper that crops, rotates, and exports images to exact social and ID sizes. Batch crop, circular avatars, and local browser-only processing.
This tool runs entirely in your browser. Your input is never uploaded.
What does this image cropper do?
This tool trims and reshapes pictures directly inside your browser. Drop up to 100 images, drag the crop box on the reference image, then apply the same crop to every photo with one click. You can also set a precise output size for social-media posts or ID photos, rotate the image, and export to JPEG, PNG, or WebP. Each image can be fine-tuned individually after the shared crop is applied.
Key features
- Free-form or fixed-ratio crop (1:1, 4:3, 3:4, 16:9, 9:16, 2:1, 3:2).
- Circular crop for profile pictures and avatars.
- Rule-of-thirds overlay to help compose the crop.
- Preset sizes: WeChat avatar, WeChat cover, portrait cover 1080×1440, Douyin cover, YouTube cover, Instagram post, banner, and common Chinese ID photo sizes (1-inch, 2-inch, small 1-inch, small 2-inch, big 1-inch).
- Output to JPEG, PNG, or WebP, with adjustable quality and transparent or solid background.
- Batch processing with a shared crop applied to all images, plus per-image edits.
- Fully local: nothing is uploaded, files stay in your browser.
How to use it
- Drop images onto the upload area or click to browse.
- Drag the crop box on the first (reference) image to define the crop region.
- Pick an aspect ratio or a preset size, or enable circular crop.
- Click "Apply crop to all images" so every photo uses the same region.
- Switch to any image in the list to fine-tune its individual crop.
- Press "Crop all", then download files one by one or as a ZIP.
Which format should you pick?
- JPEG: smallest for photos, but no transparency. A solid background color is added for circular JPEG export.
- PNG: lossless and supports transparency, best for graphics, logos, and circular avatars.
- WebP: modern format with smaller size and transparency support.
Why crop images?
Cropping removes distractions, fixes aspect ratios for specific platforms, and produces correctly sized avatars or ID photos. A shared crop across a batch keeps a consistent composition for product shots, contact sheets, or social posts.
Privacy and security
Every image is decoded, cropped, rotated, and re-encoded locally inside your browser tab using the Canvas API. Nothing is uploaded to any server and nothing is stored after you close the page. Object URLs are revoked when you remove files or leave the page.
FAQ
Does circular crop keep transparency?
When the output is PNG or WebP, yes. For JPEG, transparency is not supported, so a solid background color fills the corners of the circular image.
Can I crop to an exact pixel size?
Yes. Choose a preset size (for example, a 1-inch ID photo at 295×413) or set the output width and height. The cropped region is scaled to the requested dimensions.
Is there a file size limit?
Processing happens locally, so the practical limit is your device memory. Typical phone photos crop without issues, and the work runs concurrently across a small pool to keep the page responsive.
