Two repayment methods, side by side

Enter a loan amount, annual rate, and term to see the two standard amortization methods at once: equal payment (annuity — the same amount every month) and equal principal (straight-line — a decreasing payment, fixed principal share). Each summary card shows the monthly payment, total interest, total repaid, and the interest share of every yuan you pay back.

A 30-year loan at 3.6% shows the classic trade-off immediately: the straight-line schedule starts higher but repays noticeably less interest overall.

Full repayment schedule

Every month is broken into payment, principal, interest, and remaining balance. The table starts with the first 12 months and expands to the full schedule on demand. Switch the display to a single method when you have already decided.

Prepayment simulation

Enable the prepayment panel to model a one-time extra payment at any month. Choose whether it should shorten the term (keep the monthly payment, finish earlier) or reduce the monthly payment (keep the term, pay less each month) — the calculator recomputes the schedule and reports the interest saved, months saved, or the new payment.
