How to generate a QR code

  1. Enter text, a URL, contact details, or other content.
  2. Choose the image size, error correction level, colors, and quiet zone.
  3. Select Generate QR code.
  4. Review the preview and download the PNG image.

For several codes at once, switch to the batch mode and put one content per line. Every line is generated live, and you can download all results as a ZIP or print them. Single and batch modes can also print: open the print settings to pick a physical size in millimetres, the number of columns, and whether the content is printed underneath.

Keep strong contrast between the foreground and background. Small images, long content, or similar colors can make the code difficult for cameras to scan.

Error correction levels

L, M, Q, and H can recover approximately 7%, 15%, 25%, and 30% of damaged data. Higher correction usually creates a denser code. M is a good default for URLs; use Q or H when the code may be covered or printed in a difficult environment.

How to scan an image

Switch to Scan QR code, then select or drop an image. The tool reads its pixels and looks for a QR code. You can copy a successful result, and HTTP or HTTPS results include an option to open the link. In the batch scanning mode, select or drop several images at once; each image is decoded independently and you can copy all results or export them as a text file.

Scanning limitations

Blurred, heavily tilted, cropped, low-contrast, or very small codes may not scan. Try a clearer original image, preserve the complete quiet zone, and avoid compressed screenshots.

Privacy

Generation and image scanning happen entirely in your current browser. Content, images, and scan results are not sent to this site's server.

Safety

Inspect the destination and domain before opening a scanned link. QR codes can point to phishing pages, malicious downloads, or other untrusted resources.
