What is the barcode generator?
Barcodes encode numbers and short text into the stripes found on products, packages, and badges. This tool renders one-dimensional barcodes on an HTML canvas in your browser — nothing leaves your device.
Supported formats
- EAN-13 — 13 digits used on retail products worldwide (12 or 13 digits accepted; the check digit is computed for you).
- UPC-A — the 12-digit North American retail code.
- EAN-8 — the compact 8-digit code for small packages.
- CODE39 — a variable-length code for
A–Z,0–9, and several symbols such as- . space $ / + %.
Numeric formats are validated against their check digit automatically, and CODE39 rejects characters it cannot encode.
How to use it

- Type the content.
- Adjust bar width, height, and whether the digits are printed underneath.
- Download the result as a PNG or copy its data URL.
Privacy and limits
Encoding runs entirely in the browser. EAN/UPC and CODE39 are supported; Code 128 is not yet included. If you need a two-dimensional code, use the QR code generator instead.
