Color Converter

Convert colors, generate palettes, and check WCAG contrast locally.

This tool runs entirely in your browser. Your input is never uploaded.

Color formats

Convert HEX, RGB, RGBA, HSL, and HSLA values directly in your browser. Enter HEX, RGB, HSL, or any CSS named color — space and slash syntax such as rgb(255 0 0 / 50%) and hsl(120deg 100% 50%) is supported — or use the built-in HSV picker: choose saturation and brightness on the pad, tune the hue, and drag the opacity slider for semi-transparent colors. Every format (hex, rgb, hsl, hsv) updates live, and the hex output automatically gains an alpha pair when the color is translucent. HSV is shown for reference only; it is not a CSS color function.

A random color button creates a fresh color on demand, in any, vivid, pastel, or grayscale styles, ready to copy.

Palettes and contrast

The tool generates complementary, analogous, triadic, tetradic, split-complementary, and shade palettes. Hover a swatch to reveal its hex code, click it to copy, or use Copy to grab every color in a group at once.

The WCAG contrast section measures the selected color against a background and reports the full AA/AAA matrix for both normal and large text. Translucent colors are composited over the background before measuring, so opacity is taken into account. A live preview renders the foreground on the background as real large and normal text — edit the sample wording to try your own — and you can swap the two colors with one click.

All processing happens locally. No color values are uploaded or stored.
