JSON Diff
Semantically compare two JSON documents and review the differences directly on the rendered source, the way you would in a code reviewer: both documents are shown side by side with syntax coloring and line numbers, and changed spans carry a red (left) or green (right) underline. Key order never matters — object keys are matched by name — and arrays can be compared by position or as unordered sets. An exportable RFC 6902 JSON Patch is generated alongside.
Workflow
- Paste or import two documents (Sample fills a ready-made pair) and hit Compare.
- The full-screen comparison view aligns both documents row by row: modified lines are paired with a
⇄gutter mark, deletions show⇠, insertions⇢. Use Prev / Next to jump between changes. - Switch to the JSON Patch tab to copy or download the operations that transform the first document into the second (
json-diff-patch.json).
Options
- Ignore array order — treats arrays as multisets for the summary and patch: reordered items are not reported, only added or removed ones. The side-by-side view always aligns the raw text, so what you see is exactly your input.
Everything runs locally in your browser — no JSON is sent anywhere.
