Speech to Text
Dictate in the browser with live speech recognition in Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean, and more. Copy or download locally.
This tool runs entirely in your browser. Your input is never uploaded.
This browser does not support speech recognition. Try Chrome or Edge.
Your transcript will appear here.
Live dictation
Press Start and speak — final phrases land on their own lines while the in-flight phrase shows up as it is recognized. Recognition restarts automatically after pauses, so one session covers as many sentences as you like. Word count tracks CJK characters and Latin words separately.
Languages
Switch between Chinese (zh-CN), English (en-US), Japanese, Korean, Spanish, French, and German before starting. Recognition runs entirely through your browser's built-in Web Speech API; audio goes to the vendor's speech service, never to this site.
Output
Copy the transcript or download it as a .txt file named after the language. Firefox does not ship speech recognition, so those visitors see a clear notice. Your language choice and transcript are saved in this browser.
